Often I have heard people asking “Why is my computer slow?” I have to say that there is more than one reason for the slow running of computers. When I bought the new computer last year, it was working fine. The troubles started after a few months. Initially, my computer became so slow in the startup. It was spoiling my mood constantly whenever I started working. I decided to find out the solution for the slow running of my computer.

I found that the main reason for a slow running computer in the startup can be attributed to startup overload. In a computer with so many programs installed and set to run in the start-up, it will take time to run each program one by one. I removed all the unwanted programs from the start up. It worked to some extent to appreciate the difference in the speed of the pc.
Other minor problems which make a computer running slow are those associated with the hardware of the computer. Disk defragmentation, clean up and deleting the unwanted files in the system also enhances the speed of a computer.

I made a major mistake while finding a solution to the slow running of my computer. I do not want it to happen to anybody. My computer was slow mainly due to the problems with the system registry. Being a constant user of the computer, I used to install several software in my system. I was not aware that the accumulation of unwanted information would slow down my computer.

From my mistake, I learnt that registry cleaning is the main solution to those who complain the same way I did once: “Why is my computer so slow?” For those who do not have an idea about the computer registry and its importance, I will explain briefly explain what it is all about and how it is responsible for the slowness of the system.

The registry is the database which contains all the information related to your system. Frequent usage of different software will create a lot of unnecessary data in the registry.  The obsolete data in the registry has to be cleaned from time to time. Due to the sensitive nature of the system registry, any small registry error will hamper the performance of the system. Crashing of the system, slow system, slow booting, slow shutdown, BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) etc are all due to registry errors.

My computer was running slow due to the same problem-Registry Errors. Fixing of the registry errors will permanently solve such problems.
