Logging in to safe mode is needed when it becomes necessary to remove some malware from the system. In safe mode, only the essential programs will be loaded, making it convenient for the user to remove such unwanted programs quickly.

Do the following to boot Windows in safe mode:
- Start/Restart the computer.
- As the system boots, tap the F8 key gently and intermittently. This opens the window having Windows Advanced Options Menu.
- Select Safe Mode with Networking using the up or down arrow keys.
- Press Enter.
To go back to the normal mode, restart the system.
